Bank of Canada cuts interest rate to 4.75%: Financial Post

Bank of Canada Governor Tiff Macklem will hold a news conference today after making an announcement on the key lending rate.

Barbara Schecter of the Financial Post reports on the Bank of Canada’s decision to drop interest rates to 4.75 per cent. Many economists had expected the central bank to cut rates for the first time since it began a series of increases in March 2022 in response to rising inflation.
