Mia Rabson of The Canadian Press reports that Federal Tourism Minister Soraya Martinez Ferrada is warning that climate change is a major threat to Canada’s tourism industry. Wildfire season has begun, and one of the biggest challenges is Canada’s reputation that the country is “on fire.”  Warmer winters are also having a negative impact on cold-season tourism with the Rideau Canal barely opening last winter, Rabson writes.
