Conservatives, NDP demand Trudeau protect Canadians' jobs at new EV plants: CP

On the heels of the Honda plant announcements, the Canadian Press reports the federal Conservatives and New Democrats are calling for guarantees that the local jobs won’t go to foreign workers. Canada's Building Trades Union says Canadian workers are losing out on jobs to foreign workers at the NextStar battery plant in Windsor, Ont. that is owned by Stellantis and LG Energy Solution.
