Oil and gas executives face questions about emissions plans at committee: Globe and Mail

Emma Graney and Marieke Walsh of The Globe and Mail report on a “fiery” parliamentary committee Thursday where top executives of Canada’s biggest oil and gas companies were called to testify about what they are doing to reduce their carbon footprint. Senior leaders from Cenovus Energy, Imperial Oil, Suncor Energy Inc., Shell Canada and Enbridge argued against a federal emissions cap, saying it isn’t necessary because regulatory incentives are already in place.
