Canadian dollar 'caught in the crosshairs' could slip below 70 cents: Financial Post

The U.S. dollar has surged in the past four months, while the Canadian dollar, the pound and the euro are all down between four and five per cent in the last nine months. Since the summer of 2022, the loonie has been worth 72-76 cents U.S., and if the economy and inflation continue to slow, the Bank of Canada is expected to lower its rate. That would put even more pressure on the loonie, writes Pamela Heaven of the Financial Post.
