Competition Bureau to launch market study of Canadian airline sector: CP
Canada’s Competition Bureau is launching a market study of the domestic airline sector to look at potential barriers to competition such as regulation or policies. As Anja Karadeglija of The Canadian Press reports, Deputy Commissioner Melissa Fisher made the announcement as she testified before a parliamentary committee studying the issue on Thursday. The Bureau’s study will be the first under new powers that it was granted in December, which include compelling companies to provide information.
