Kamala Harris is seen as potentially being more aggressive than President Joe Biden in confronting oil companies for pollution and addressing environmental justice, Bloomberg’s Ari Natter and Jennifer A Dlouhy reported. Biden abandoned his reelection bid Sunday, placing Vice President Harris in contention for the Democratic nomination and sparking deep interest in her track record on energy, according to the report. During her time as California attorney general, Harris sued fossil fuel firms, prosecuted a pipeline company over an oil leak and investigated Exxon Mobil Corp. for misleading the public about climate change, Natter and Dlouhy said.
