Millennial and Gen Y Canadians are angry over the high cost of living and the lack of affordable housing, and they are finding an “outlet” in Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre, Alex Boutilier of Global News reports. Crowds at Poilievre’s rallies and events are younger than those under previous Conservative leaders Erin O’Toole, Andrew Scheer and Stephen Harper. Boutilier said youth don’t necessarily have faith in Poilievre’s policies, but they find an ‘avatar’ for their dejection and their rejection of the establishment.
