Bank of Canada Governor Tiff Macklem doesn’t sound too concerned about the impact of the Canadian government’s budget on inflation. Macklem was in Washington D.C. to attend semi-annual meetings at the International Monetary Fund. According to the Globe and Mail, Macklem told reporters that “on net, the fiscal track has not substantially changed relative to the fall economic statement.”

He added: “At a macro level there’s more money going out, there’s more money coming in.”
