CN Rail braces for ripple effects from ongoing Red Sea conflict


The impact of attacks on cargo vessels in the Red Sea is leading to wholesale shifts in global shipping, according to the Canadian National Railway Co. Delays of up to three weeks for most container ships headed for the port of Halifax, a key CN hub, are likely. As well, the Middle East turmoil combined with Panama Canal bottlenecks is expected to shift business to Vancouver and Prince Rupert ports.
