Canada's environmental laws are threatening the buildout of clean energy projects, report says: Financial Post

Gabriel Friedman of the Financial Post writes about a new report from a government advisory panel that says the federal government must find ways to streamline the environmental review process in order to meet its energy transition targets. In its 110-page report, the Canadian Electricity Advisory Council said a “tangle of current approval processes” at all levels of government are putting at risk clean electricity projects. It says the federal government must undertake “systemic reform” and lead by example.
